Fence Painting and Staining

Fence painting and staining is the prep and refinishing of wood and vinyl fences and gates, and Sharp's Painting does it for homeowners in Huntington Beach and coastal Orange County. Salt air, strong sun, and the marine layer gray out boards, lift paint, and leave soft spots near the ground. Owner Robert Sharp runs his own crew, no subcontractors, and is on site. Every fence starts with a pressure wash, then scraping and sanding weathered wood, replacing rotted pickets and posts, caulking, and priming.

Vinyl gets cleaned and prepped so the coating bonds instead of peeling off in sheets. Without that prep, stain sits over dirt and mill glaze and fails in a season. The finish is sprayed and back rolled so it works into the grain. Sharp's Painting holds California C-33 license 1048840, is bonded and insured, and brings 27 years of experience. Estimates and up to 10 paint samples are free, and nothing is owed until the job is done and you are satisfied.

Pressure wash off dirt, mildew, and salt residue, scrape and sand the weathered boards, replace rotted pickets, posts, and rails, then caulk and prime where the wood needs it.

3

Stain or paint

Lay the finish down in clean, even coats, cut in tight around posts, caps, and hardware, and make sure the gates still swing and latch once the coating dries.

4
