Trim, Baseboard and Crown Molding Painting

Trim, baseboard, and crown molding painting is the finishing of a room's millwork, the baseboards, door casings, window trim, crown molding, and the doors themselves. Sharp's Painting does that work in Huntington Beach and across coastal Orange County. Owner Robert Sharp is a California C-33 painting contractor, license 1048840, bonded and insured, with 27 years in the trade. Trim is the surface people stand closest to, so the prep decides the result. Every piece gets filled at the nail holes, caulked where it meets the wall, sanded smooth, and primed before any finish coat.

Old gloss that is not sanded will not hold new paint, and uncaulked gaps open again as the house moves. Lines where trim meets wall and ceiling are cut by hand rather than taped, which keeps them straight on the uneven plaster common in older coastal homes. Robert runs his own crew, no subcontractors, and is on site. Estimates and paint samples are free, and nothing is owed until you are satisfied.

Key Benefits

Clean crisp lines where trim meets your walls, ceilings, and floors
Nail holes filled and gaps caulked so the finish looks solid up close
Doors, casings, and crown sanded smooth with no brush marks or drips
Robert runs his own crew with no subcontractors and is on site every job

Our Process

1

Walk the trim

Robert looks at every baseboard, casing, door, and run of crown molding, checks for loose caulk and open gaps, and gives you a free estimate.

2

Prep and protect

Floors and furniture get covered, then each piece is filled at the nail holes, caulked along the seams, and sanded so the paint lays down flat.

3

Prime and paint

Bare and patched spots get primed first, then the trim, doors, and crown are painted with clean lines cut by hand where they meet the wall and ceiling.

4

Clean up and check

The crew cleans the space at the end of each day, and Robert walks the finished trim with you to make sure the lines are right before any payment.
